Anybody besides me find the whole make a movie subplot trite, nay inane? Especially them pratling on about how the body parts would not all end up in the same dump.

So they're on the lookout for these avenues, airline vouchers, stock houses, internet porn, phone-sex, regular porn [notice Carmine jr referencing his porn line as one of his 'sub-species']. And remember, before he was made, Chrissie had wide-eyed dreams of being a movie-mogul. Tony had to talk him out of leaving the life for it.

The last two seasons of The Soprano's drew 9.8 and 11 million viewers and continues to kick ass. The first season of Deadwood had 4.5 million viewers. The second season of Deadwood was down almost 50% and had 2.4 million viewers. Apparently, 2 million viewers, or almost half of all viewers, thought it sucked and stopped watching. Sounds like I've got some facts on my side. I don't know the stats on The Wire, but I think it also sucks. There doesn't seem to be a fan following of The Wire as there is with the Soprano's.

Have your nurse loosen the strap on that hockey helmet, goonter.
I doubt if you could count to 1, if your native language was boolean. |

The Wire and Deadwood are both better shows than The Sopranos (which is in no way saying The Sopranos is bad). However, quality does not always equal viewership, as any number of great shows that never got a toehold throughout the history of TV will attest to.

Deadwood is a good show but there is just something about a show set in that time period that makes me cringe with that much of the language being explicit that turned me off the show. I of course grew up with the old westerns and it just feels incongruous to hear so many fucks and c*cksuckers. I am by no means a prude nor am I offended it just somehow causes me to drift.
