Point is, hard cap, IMO, is the only way to stop this shit and the only way that happens is through a lockout.

I am with you but the NBA is so hot right now it would absolutely be dumb to force any kind of lockout. Anyway the current CBA will run at least through 2022 so it will be awhile longer before this gets resolved. I think I read the other day they are going to target the 2020 season as getting rid of the 1-done so things move slow when you have to negotiate with a union.

Since LeBron has been in the league, what he did in Miami wasn't even the first super team.

Boston was.
Bostons stars were past 30 and non were top 5 players while Miami had 2 top 5 stars.

I have not said I have an issue with Cousins taking less.

I have said I have an issue that he's able to sign with the Warriors for less because of a soft cap.

Of course, all of NBA history is changed if Clay Bennett isn't a ****ing charlatan. He screwed Seattle by moving that team, then wanted to cut costs when he had Durant, Harden, and Westbrook, so he forced Presti to trade Harden, and Presti did a terrible job both extracting value in the first place and keeping around coaching mongoloid Scotty Brooks. If Bennett just bit the bullet on the tax, the Warriors dynasty probably never happens because OKC is a better team.

I remember all the talk about Curry being an injury prone bust. And I agree with you about OKC and feel sorry for their fans because they got hosed by the owners and GM. They could have had a dynasty and let it go because they were too cheap.

From what is being reported his market was the MLE and he wasn't getting many if any offers. Don't forget Boogie is kind of a head case and maybe teams didn't want to deal with it plus alot of the cap space for teams is pretty much gone.

Yeah Horace Grant, Luke Longley, Bill Cartright, Ron Harper and BJ Armstrong were key starters on those Bulls superteams... Those guys were awesome!!! Oh I forgot Paxton and Kerr. Loaded from top to bottom!

**** out of here with that stupidass statement. Bulls were no superteam they just played well as a team and MJs will to win and competitiveness put them over the top. I don't remember Karl Malone joining the Bulls after they won 72-games like Durant did with the Warriors.

Russell's Celtics also played in a different era. There weren't as many teams in the league so every team was loaded. Plus it was mostly white guys playing back then. Lets keep everything in perspective here.

OKC obviously screwed up, and I think they realize that now because they're not afraid to spend money.

That said... would Harden become the player he is now if he stayed with Westbrook? I don't know. Harden became an MVP when he got to have the ball in his hands all the time. That never would have happened with Westbrook and Durant in front of him. He probably doesn't reach his full potential, but that OKC team would definitely have a shot to take out the Warriors though.
