I hadn’t heard of this as being something that QBs actually did. Are there other QBs who have done this with any regularity or success? Obviously, we’ve all heard about guys who can look off safeties until the last second, but haven’t heard of guys who never look at the intended receiver at all while throwing the ball.

That's what makes this so powerful. The addition of Watkins opposite Hill is insane for this offense in combination with a guy who has a natural proclivity to throw downfield and an arm which can hit all points of the field (even off balance).
Alex Smith had a remarkable year with a similar offense and we've only gotten better (ex-Fulton). The expectations should be high if only because of the supporting skill players. |
