Which three players in the NFL would you build a franchise around?
Lots of Julio picks..
He's awesome but he's been injured a lot. Generally minor dings but he's almost guaranteed to miss at least a couple games per season. He also came into the league in 2011 so I'd guess he'd have to be around 28. That's pretty long in the tooth for a guy who makes his living off of his athletic ability. If I'm going with a WR, which I wouldn't, I think OBJ is the better choice and I think he's got too many warts. |

Inside the tackles he can get downhill, stack and shed blockers, or shoot the gap between lineman and his sideline to sideline range is the best in the NFL. Add to that his above average ability to cover WR, TE's and RB's in the passing game. He's all over the field all game. Give me him and Aaron Donald. Try raping us now Le'veon.... My 3rd pick would probably be Tyron Smith. What can I say? I'm a Chiefs fan...**** the QB's, just give me the fatties. |

Justin Houston Mack and Miller
That would be a Three Headed Monster the likes of King Ghidorah on defense. Now if forsight tells me Justin Houston knees will be a future problem I want to go with Chris Jones DT. We have yet to see his potential. |

If I have three players and one is a franchise qb, there's no way my third guy is a defensive player. Aaron Rodgers, Antonio Brown, Julio Jones. Rodgers has balled for years with no running game or ol. Scary to think what he could do with two pro bowl receivers.

No way. Tom Brady just won a Super Bowl throwing the ball to James White and 3 white wide receiving nobodies. Wide receivers will soon be the new running backs. They are nice to have but they don't equate to winning games.
ELITE QB's HUGE GAP Pass Rushers ELITE TACKLES HUGE GAP Whatever else. |

Wide receivers = great fantasy commodity ...
Steelers started winning when they started giving the ball to LeVeon instead of making Brown their absolute focal point. Pats are always 10 steps ahead of everyone ... they featured Edelman (college QB), Hogan (college lacrosse) and Amendola (undrafted) at receiver and they all did just fine. You don't build around wide receivers ... unless you are Matt Millen. |

No.
If I had to have a QB for 7 years Russell is most definitely at the top of my list. I really struggle to make excuses for QB's because I saw Brady/Manning win their division every year for a decade plus and they always made their lines, even if bad, passable ... So I really struggled this year when people were giving Andy Luck ANOTHER pass for having a shitty line ... but then I'd watch Russell and do the same for him. So I hate making excuses for elite QB's .... But GOOD ****ING LORD ... that offensive line in Seattle was HORRIBLE this year. |

I don't know, man. Malcom Butler was a undrafted nobody and now he's as good as anybody. Terrence Mitchell came out of nowhere. I think CB is very scheme dependent. Of course, guys like Peters who have insane ball skills are very special ... but I don't build around CB's ...
If you start from scratch, you start with a QB ... find an elite one of those, you're gold. And then you try and accumulate as many pass rushers as humanly possible while trying to get lucky and snag a few good OL ... Everything else? It's just so scheme dependent. Look at the Pats. You think Edelman, Hogan and Amendola are great on other squads? Nah. The Pats outscheme everyone and 2nd place isn't even in the same universe. |
