Channeling the 2012 version of Alex Smith
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9plNqVr2qRo -- definitely the best 8 games played by Smith in his career, stuff we haven't seen on a routine basis
In 8.5 games he threw for 13 TD's , QB rating 102, QBR 68 , 70% completion. Only 26 pass attempts/game yet put up a 6% TD rate (highest as a Chief was 4.5%) There are 2 clear differences 1) He had great pocket protection and stayed in it more frequently (runs thru progressions routinely) 2) He really trusted options 3-5 to go after the ball (Manningham, Walker, Moss). I think Hill and Conley have built a good amount of trust thus far (but not holding my breath on Harris and Wilson) Comparing his weapons then and now: Maclin = Crabtree (push) T Hill, Conley > Manningham, Moss Kelce > Davis Harris << Delanie Walker Albert Wilson = Kyle Williams (push) Spencer Ware (4.3 ypc, 3 tds) < Frank Gore (4.7 ypc, 8 tds) Charcandrick West (3.3 ypc) < Kendall Hunter (5.2 ypc) Anthony Sherman = Bruce Miller (push) KC O-Line < San Fran O-line I think Smith has most of the weapons in place for 2017. If we want bigger plays then we should draft a lineman in round 3 to compete for the center or guard position. We can also look for a versatile RB to be the back-up to Ware cause West is clearly not getting the job done. #InDorseyWeTrust Last edited by TigeRRUppeRRcut; 02-04-2017 at 12:18 PM.. |

How much do you donate a month ? I've seen you mention it several times on here and am curious. I get the impression it is a significant amount the way you bring it up when you're not happy about your Chiefs Planet experience.

It's just one more thing that shows what an ass he is. Most people, including myself, look at donating anything is something you do to help an organization, an individual, or whatever. It's something a person should do without expecting anything at all in return. For me, I would feel like a complete douche if I felt the need to 'spread the word about how ****ing great I am for donating something' let alone expecting to get special treatment because of it.

He'd expect them to come shovel his driveway every time it snowed.

2012 Playoffs Giants 20 49ers 17 Alex Smith couldn't get the job done and before anyone cough Tiger Uppercut cough cough spouts about the muffed punt excuse for Alex
Smith completed just 12 of 26 passes for 196 yards, connecting on only one short throw to a wide receiver. With no threats on the outside, San Francisco managed one third-down conversion, coming on the final play of regulation. The offense was unable to overcome Williams' blunders. "We all know him. We know how committed he is to winning," Smith said. "It's not on him. I look at the 1 for 13 on third downs. I know he's going to feel bad, but he's still part of our team. We didn't lose the game there. We lost it across the board offensively. We just couldn't get it done." Alex Smith said so himself 1 for 13 on third downs. 17 ****ing points. Bla bla bla bla bla bla don't want to hear it Tiger Uppercut. Oh there defense bla bla bla bla We couldn't score twenty points against the Steelers either. **** your 2012 Alex Smtih.

i think alex knows he is lucky to be in the league. he doesn't step on toes, and he ponies up when it comes to being all in. (not that he isn't talented enough to be competitive but he also is resigned to the fact he is not going to be anything close to tom brady or matt ryan (i almost typed ryan leaf, how embarrassing would that have been for alex.). he just is!

Is he just coasting through his remaining years? I still suspect he puts in the offseason work, and the work every week. The real question should be... will he be willing to risk more by being more aggressive? Some will say that after all these years, he is what he is.. and that's it. They could easily be right. Some might dare to hope that after these disappointing playoff games, missed chances, and knowing his career is running out anyway... just maybe.. he will elect to sink or swim with the aggression that fans are begging for. Either way, I'm with the majority that want KC to draft an early QB. Smith really is one hit away from hanging it up. I think he'll be happy to make 2017 as his do or retire season. That's what would be the smart play, and make most Chiefs fans ecstatic over, anyway.

He's been building up this false defense against the new mods and it's nothing but silly. He also keeps saying no one has warned him or even mentioned that he's done anything wrong. What does he think I've been trying to do? Ever since this mod thing came up I've been patiently trying to explain to him (in public, right in front of everyone) what exactly he's doing that other posters (that are as diverse as this board) have a problem with. He's just not too smart. |

And also using your donation as leverage to do what you want hasn't ever worked to my knowledge (maybe the guy who owns this place will let me know if it does) so I would leave that out.
