World Anti-Doping Agency: Russia Should be Banned from the 2016 Olympics
http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/34765444
http://espn.go.com/olympics/trackand...field-athletes After a long investigation, WADA just released a shocking report today accusing the Russian Federation of running a huge state-sponsored doping scheme, including helping their athletes avoid detection in drug testing. They named 10 Russian athletes and coaches who should be banned for life, and given how corrupt Russia apparently is and the little amount of time remaining to the next olympic games, they also recommend that the IOC ban Russia from competing in Rio. (Not sure if the recommendation is just Russia's track and field team, or all of their athletes) The IOC is not obligated to agree to the recommendation, but there's pressure all over the world on the IOC to hammer Russia. |

What I'll always remember about the Toronto PyThags was their celebrations after hits. Tulo doubles, stares back at dugout, goes berserk with head contortions and the old eating-the-soup motion. He looked like a bad ass regardless of what the scoreboard said.

You are saying that the margin of victory is so small underdogs or teams that are not the better team should win more. And I am saying the better team over the course of a best of 7 or 5 always comes out on top, no matter how close an individual game in that series may be. I may be in full agreement with you if it was single elimination, or even a best of 3. But it isn't. |

Playoffs, not reg season. Everything I have said has been directed toward playoff time. |

You have to add some qualifiers to make it work, but he can say "the better team on those particular nights is whoever wins the series". The Phillies had the worst record this season, but they were better than the Cardinals on two days.

So worse teams can win series in the regular season (and you freely admit that), but they can't do it in the playoffs. I shouldn't have to explain how that doesn't any sense at all.
