It looks like Gordon has decided to have a massive contract year.
He'll probably end up with an .OPS over .850 and another gold glove with a WAR around 8.0. ...what will that command? 5 years, $90M? More? $100M+? I wish we'd try and float him an extension for like 5/80. He'd be the guy to give us a hometown discount. For the first time in my life, I'd just ****ing hate losing that fielding in LF. He doesn't do it with speed, either. He won't just suddenly lose his reaction time and the sick jumps he gets. I was having Gordon 'track down line drives for outs' dreams last night. I'm not kidding. It doesn't help that I fell asleep with a replay of the game on ... but I literally woke up to having an Alex Gordon dream. |
