PFF is good for number of snaps and alignments, but is suspect in every other ranking.

A) They're not great at grading players in general

B) These are cumulative grades, so Manning, Dalton, Wilson, Hoyer, Stanton and... uh, Davis I guess, have only had 3/4 the opportunity to accumulate positive (or negative) grades as the other QBs on the list.

Ah yes, people still mad at PFF because it doesn't mimic QB rating. And it's not supposed to. It's made by people, who watched the game, every single play, and is not results oriented. It's based on what the player ACTUALLY did on the play. Not if they threw a pass that was terrible, and the WR made an amazing catch to get it or was hit by a defender, and ended up in the hands of the receiver to score a TD.

So basically Russell Wilson is one of the worst quarterbacks in the league and hurts his team more than he helps them?

I dont know about some of the others, but they have Smith in the right spot.

I agree. With the exception of a couple QB's rated higher because of lopsided stats in a game or two it seems about right. On the other hand there's a couple QB's that should be higher if not for the same reason.

Yeah, there are some head scratchers there, but Alex is right where he currently belongs... hanging around the fringes of elite.

The good news is theres a lotta season left for him to break through to the upper echelon.
