Go on the record. On a scale of 1 to 10, how good was reids playcalling in the second half?

The memories are too ****ing painful...but

it seemed like any number of things could have won that game...

Reid only called 5 run plays in the second half (IIRC) ...to me that is an F.

However.....one ****ign 1st down...ONE more 3rd down completion....etc.....Thee momentum was just so heavy you could feel the train coming but we couldnt move.

But, to honestly answer your question i would say 5 or less (F)

I thought reids game management and playcalling easily earns him an F. On offensive playcalling alone, would give him a 3.

The QB is only responsible for the plays that are called in. Especially when they are hand offs, screens, or designed quick hits.

The plays calls were good by and large.

They did have 1 hand tied behind their back considering Jamaal out and then others. A couple plays were lame with literally no upside. A screen to Fasano? that was batted down. Could of been what a catch for 3 yards?

Players could of executed the plays better.
Jenkins and McCluster running out of bounds on their own didn't help.

A lot of the pass plays were extentions of the running game though. For ****s sake it took a HISTORIC defensive meltdown to lose that game.

I personally think an "F" is harsh. Nobody could have predicted the utter collapse of the defense. He was calling a conservative offensive game plan basically with the idea that they just had to sustain a few drives, put a few points on the board and prevent offensive disaster from happening (i.e Deep fumbles, pick 6's etc). And for the most part, they did - just the one fumble near mid field. It was just absolutely astonishing how quickly and easily the Colts were scoring.

There were a couple of time outs that seemed to hurt in the second half, and it wasn't a great offensive scheme, but they were down to their 3rd string RB and I believe Avery was out for much of the second half as well wasn't he?

Part of it was Knile Davis so paranoid about fumbling that he was running to protect the ball. But the playcalling was also atrocious and typical of the Andy Reid "play not to lose to protect the lead" style he is known for. The defense was blowing up runs and screens as if they called the play themselves. Especially once the Colts started getting hot, it becomes even harder to understand what Reid was trying to do.

I have been the only 49er fan here to contribute in the entire Lounge forum, and not just exclusively on the Alex threads like Snoopy is.

I don't see Snoopy on the John Wayne movie thread.

I don't see Snoopy on the transfer thread

Or the Challenger Hellcat thread.

Or the guns thread.

Fugged a tranny thread, Texas teen raped thread, Panda Express thread, Grilled Cheese thread, gas mileage thread, Most patriotic states thread, peeing in the pool thread, diarrhea or vomiting thread, Cummins or Hemi thread, chili dog thread, rib-eyes thread... Never mind all the other non-Chiefs or non-Alex football discussions I have been in.

I can fill a page with threads I've enjoyed reading and posting in on Chiefs Planet.

Snoopy is here for one reason only -- to address and counter every perceived slight against Alex Smith and make into a Federal offense. Love him or hate him, he still poisons every Alex thread, just like he did at 49ers.com.

Anybody can see he attacked me, not the other way around. He is on my ignore list where His words only appear when quoted by another member.

And he calls me the troll. Well, one thing Snoopy is not, is a troll.

He is the Paladin and Captain of bodyguards, Foremost Acolyte of the First Church of the Immaculate Alex Smith, Reformed. The Jim Jones of Chiefs Planet, sworn to take down anyone who so much as thinks of not worshipping his sacred idol, your Quarterback.

You know football is finally really back when Snoopy comes out to look at his shadow, defending all comers for Alex Smith, real or imagined. Mostly imagined.
And this will never end. Not until Alex is dumped by the Chiefs and a newly butthurt Snoopy moves on to haunt the forum of Alex's next team.
You need to look around more. I'm in the video game threads, movie threads, Jamal Charles thread. I don't have to justify myself. After all, I wasn't the one who started the thread on the 49ers board encouraging 49er fans to come here and troll chiefs fans. That was you.

And yet the guy who is glad to done talking about Alex Smith is here taking about Alex Smith.

I'm glad you are here.
