Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.
A few quick ground rules:

This site does a good job of trying to explain things after they happen in show. |

I found it to be legitimately fascinating. It used to be that collectible (Lord of the Rings or whatever) swords were just cheap fifteen-dollar crap, but I'm glad to see there are serious swordsmiths out there doing really good work.
I don't know if I'd risk that on chopping ceramic heads for YouTube, though. I was doing a little bit of cringing there at the end. |

No, I thought it was awesome. Checking out more of this Man at Arms videos. Some really cool stuff. I like that he actually makes them by real usable standards. Folding the metal repeatedly and such. These weapons could actually be used for real and would stand up to some abuse.
I love weapons crafting...

I admit I was half expecting a 14-year-old kid with a sword made from a leaf spring, or something.
