Absolutely. His current troubles are, IMO, completely on account of the injuries. Crabs is out, Manningham, and now VD. Who is he supposed to throw to?

With a healthy team, he is light years ahead of Alex in ability, anyone can see that. (And I like Alex, but that is a simple, undeniable truth.)

Yeah, because its the SAME scheme that was ran last year, and o linemen don't need to learn how to work together. The more you post, the more I start to understand. You never played football a minute in your life. You think this shit is a video game. Well, on madden, hes a 78, so he should perform like a 78. I completely understand you now.

Seeing as how we don't run more than 5-10 yard routes, it's shouldn't be that hard for AS to do the same, right?

Being risk adverse is slowing his decision making down, which causes him to panic, which often causes him to run into trouble, though he's ran out of plenty as well.
Jay Cutler, a guy with a howitzer for an arm, known for throwing the deep ball, will have options open short, where as Alex Smith, who poses no threat with the deep ball, and also has no THREAT of which to pose a deep ball with. Are you starting to understand the DIFFERENCE? Nahhhhh.

Cool story bro. A bunch of Alex haters standing behind the most vocal dude in the room saying "GET HIM DAWG, GET HIM OOTP!" Im just so jealous. Yeah, but that still doesn't make you RIGHT.

Yeah, I got a wife at home, um, so the porn thing is cool and all, but, uh, yeah, so and clown shoes? Gee, a known Alex Smith hater, thinking I got walked on because another Alex Smith hater has a narrow minded weak mans view. You keep thinking I got stepped on bro. There are no foot prints over here.

When the response to any rational post is "3-0", then I have to disagree with you.

He's good enough to win in the regular season - not sure anyone ever doubted that. Several of us doubt he can win with this "play not to lose" mentality against the type of teams you face in the playoffs.
So, a quick smoke pass that hits a defensive player in the FACE is now what you are resorting to? Again, showing how little if at all you played actual football. That's the equivilant of a knock down at the line. No more, no less. McGraths ONE job on that play, was to KEEP BARWIN FROM GETTING IN THE AIR, and he failed on his assignment, and yet that's Alex Smiths fault.

I love those types. The self righteous, "WELL MY DADDY TAUGHT ME."

Again, just because someone is taught something, doesn't mean its right.

Actually, its just about everything that is wrong in the world.

Shout out to KING with that post of OOTP back tracking his ass off.

Its cool now. Now all of a sudden everyone knew the Chiefs defense was going to be this dominant.

No. Actually, the only people who said that, THEN, were me and Mac.

You know the two niner turds that a lot of people cant stand, who are on the regular way more upbeat about the Chiefs, than Chiefs fans.

Its cool though.

I live in Indy.

I follow and would rather the Colts and Pacers succeed than fail.

But back on topic to the offense being clunky.

Last season on a Thursday...
Quote:
ATL/NO had an Over/Under of 56
They scored a total 36
http://espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=321129001

Matt Ryan with Julio, Roddy and Tony @ Home had 165 yards on 33 passes. Again, this was the Saints defense.
Falcons 1-11 on 3rd down.

Drew Brees threw 5 INTs, 0 TDs

And neither team had over 5 penalties and only 1 sack each
Both had RBs combine for 100+ on the ground.
Shiz happens.

And their are reasons. If Smith played better that would help.

But the obvious #1 issue is the O-Line. If they are better Alex Smith doesn't have more yards running in the 1st half than Charles. They are not in as many 3rd and long plays. And it is not so tough to pass block when the DL isn't selling out to get to the QB.

Andrew Luck is Alex Smithing it this year.
They are committed to a run game and it is working.

I am a 49er fan first and I think in 2012 we could have won the Super Bowl with him and all of the guys that were there through the trying times including us fans, would have been rewarded with a Lambardi Trophy. I think they have been through a lot together with Alex and deserved to at least be given the chance.

I'm also here because Donnie Avery, someone I followed in college and wanted on the 49ers. Now I get to see Alex play with Avery and see if my analysis of him was correct. I'm not a fan of the Chiefs but I am a fan of winning football. My allegiance is and always will be with the 9ers but I am very interested in the Chiefs because of the reasons I mentioned.

Here some more reasons...

Can Alex win without Harbaugh?
Can Avery be a solid WR if given the opportunity and stays healthy?
Did they make the right choice with their 1st round pick?
How well can KC do with new coaching after going 2-14?
Is Andy Reid going to be Andy Reid and throw the ball more than run?

After the first 3 games it has certainly got a lot more interesting, especially if you look at for the reasons I follow this team.

The fact that you had to tell everyone that you knew the Chiefs defense would be dominant, shows that you're a look at me attention whore dipshit. Beat your chest some more, maybe one day Blackbob will envy you.

I'm also pretty sure no one gives a **** what you and mac predicted. THATS the rub.

Anybody can say whatever they want on Smith, but the guy is a major upgrade over Gutless Cassel.

There was so many plays that the O-Line got beat repeatedly, and if it was Cassel back there, he would have fetal'ed it instead of running it off like what Alex have done.

Are there QB's that are better than Alex? Without a doubt. But there are also QB's that are much worse than Alex as well.

The whole '2nd team' thing has always seemed wrong for some reason... on one hand, it is just entertainment, and it makes no difference to me what people do with their time and money. I'm certainly not the smarter one for wasting so much time and money on the Chiefs over the past decade, when I clearly should have become a Patriots fan the moment they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. OTOH, whenever someone says "they're my 2nd team," I can't help but laugh at them a little.

I respect what other teams do and like watching other teams, and I'll pull for certain teams in the postseason, but there's no "2nd team"... outside of the obvious conflict of interest when they play each other ("oh, but I'm always a Chiefs fan first" derp), it's just... weird. I'd do without having a team all together before adopting a new one.

Having a "2nd team" is ****ing stupid, however, liking and pulling for another team outside of your favorite team is very common.
