We got a much needed win from an excellent start out of Guthrie last night. Today Vargas comes back from the D/L to make a start against a real pain in the ass Royal killer( Lester ) .

It's a tall order, but it's baseball, so let's go get them again.

• Hitters No. 2 through No. 6 for the Royal JackShits finished 0-for-16 with six strikeouts on Friday.

This shit isn't going to cut it for a win very often!

Exactly, I knew he was out live, but Alex definitely had to go around him to get to home. Seems like he definitely impedes his basepath prior to getting the ball.

On the last replay Gordo definitely has to go around him. That should be a run or just get rid of the stupid new rule.

I'm not sure that has been called more than 3-4 times this entire year. Reds got an out at home plate reversed on them this week and everyone went crazy after the game, saying it was a joke and I think MLB came out and said the overturned call was a mistake. It's a joke of a rule, essentialy the runner has no options anymore but to run two steps outside the base line and hope he doesn't get tagged. If it were last year Gordon runs him over and he's safe.

Reading the rule by the letter, then, yep, that should have been a run scored. He could have setup in front of the baseline or whatever else - too bad if it means you can't make a tag on him. That's the rules now!
