On a more personal note, one year way back on the farm we had some pretty draught type conditions. Growth was pretty bad. The neighboring farmers plowed everything under and looked down on my dad for not doing the same. He let the weeds, etc. all sit. Well, it stayed dry and get pretty windy as well. A lot of people lost topsoil, my dad gained topsoil. The farm consistently outperformed all surrounding farms for years after that. Brush keeps topsoil in place. If you are wondering on why they don't cut back all the sagebrush in Wyoming, same reason plus throw in that it's pretty expensive to cut it all down.

Ash is falling from the sky daily this week across most of Montana.
Glacier National Park is on fire. I've never seen anything like it. Current air quality in largest city in the central part of the state. People saying while rain might help, the entire state really needs snow to stop this.

You'll be fine. The Summer Of Hell won't touch San Jose at the end of September.

It's trying to rain now. I keep hearing rolling thunder about every twenty minutes and we got a short drizzle. At least the temp dropped quite a bit. All of a sudden it's under 75 degrees and the Sun's not down yet.
