Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

We almost have to trade up at this point.

Everyone knows we're looking at Mahomes, if we want him he'll go a few picks ahead of us or late teens so he doesn't get that far.

If we stay put we're taking BPA, which is nice and all but it doesn't make a splash that the organization needs to excite the fan base.

If we trade down we get more picks which we don't really need unless it's for next years draft which ... yeah.

It's time for us to be aggressive, I'd rather sacrifice one or two of our 10 picks to go up and get the player we want. Even if Dorsey bombs the pick, if it's Mahomes I don't think it'll cost him much flak. At that point it's on Andy to mold him correctly and the rest of the team to keep him upright.

We either believe there's a legit QBOTF this year and go get him or we trade down and build up the team in one of the deepest drafts in the last 10 years to prepare for one next year.

This is the choice we have to make...

Not to be persnickety with you but in reality nobody knows anything about anybody, PERIOD !! All this talk is coming from draft pundits who supposedly have their supposed insiders from all the teams and it is major poker time !!!

Thursday night will prove it as well.

If we don't take a QB, we had better take an EDGE guy. If we don't take a pass rusher, we had better take a corner. If we don't take any of those three, whomever we do take better end up an all-pro at his position.

At this point, I'm fully prepared to throw my hands in the air and yell WHAT THE **** to the skies after our pick.

If we don't take a QB, my money is on edge or CB.

Tyus Bowser and Chidobe Awuzie are who I think Dorsey would like

Another year of CP getting hyped on the QB train; another year the Chiefs probably draft someone completely off the radar at a different position. I'll believe it when I see it. Otherwise, it's just a recipe for disappointment.
