I believe the largest Bengal tiger ever killed was 800lbs. So let’s say his younger, smaller cousin at 500lbs attacks a man in full armor, who is slow, can’t see very well, and is much weaker by a factor of 10 or even more.
The tiger instinctually knows how to kill, and would only make the armor-wearer’s suffering prolonged by maybe...30 seconds. |

Could? I suppose but after a bit of not drawing flesh it would leave.

Lot of great answers so far. An historian specializing in Medieval warfare would say, "Plate." 'Plate Mail' is more of a D&D term, but I play D&D so now foul.
What hasn't been mentioned is Jousting Armor (sometimes referred to as 'Tournament Armor'). It's not for combat per se, but it's typically always a 'tailor-made' construction and very well fitted. Not only is the throat area covered, the helmet covered down to the breast in many surviving and extant examples and it locks into place. If the tournament armor was also made to fit protection over the back of the legs, a tiger could have a very tough time of it. At any rate, the poor bastard in the armor isn't going to be feeling very well, when the tiger eventually gives up and goes away. |

Only 2 humans I can think that would survive and kick Tiger ass.
John Wick Chuck Norris They wouldn't even need the suit of armor.

I think the human in plate mail wins. Tiger can't bite or scratch through. Might knock you around some, but you also aren't completely unarmed when you can swing around your metal gauntlets and try to take out it's eyes and bash it's nose and stuff. I think the tiger runs away fairly quickly. This meal isn't worth it.
