Justice League on track to lose Warner Bros. 'between 50 and 100 million.
Justice League on track to lose Warner Bros. 'between 50 and 100 million
Justice League’s opening weekend at the box office should have called for a celebration. Considering Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman all opened to over $100 million (the former taking $160 million), you would expect the Avengers-style blockbuster to make at least that much. However, despite being a gigantic superhero event — Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, and the Flash finally teaming up to defeat evil — cinema-goers just weren’t as excited as Warner Bros. predicted. Tracking for a $110 to $120 million opening weekend, Justice League took $96 million at the US box office, making just over $280 million worldwide. Unfortunately, despite still being a huge number, the studio is reportedly on track to lose $50 to $100 million once the movie has played out of cinemas. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-en...-a8075376.html |

I'm sure there is a story map, but the problem is that it isn't particularly interesting and there's a distinct lack of "fun" in the stories. Everything is dour and not particularly interesting, Wonder Woman notwithstanding.

The Animated DCEU, has their shit together yet the live action incarnation doesn't. The heads of WB/DC should give the reins of the franchise universe to Bruce Timm

Yes, and his iteration of the DCEU from 1992 to the present is still better than Snyder and company.

Agreed. I quite liked Justice League, but it would've been far better, I think, if they used Grant Gustin, integrated some stuff from the Flash TV show (just a hint of it), as it's very popular, and MOST importantly, spent the time to better develop the characters BEFORE throwing them together into Justice League. It honestly just feels rushed. It would have had far more emotional impact, and just been better, if the EXACT same movie had been made AFTER we had been introduced to Aquaman and Cyborg (or whatever his name is), and THIS Flash (if they aren't going to use Gustin). I think their actors are very good, actually. They are just tripping over their own feet, rushing to "stay with" Marvel or whatever, and it just doesn't come across as well.

Justice League was better. At least they tried to be funny at times. WW was great, I think, and she is far from my favorite DC character or superhero. Though Gal Gadot is completely droolalicious and that may be affecting my thinking.

Ah, got it. Thanks. Whoever was in charge of Rogue One should be in charge of alot of other stuff relating to Star Wars also. That was just a damn good film, whatever crazy path they used to get there.

She also has no issue with admitting a mistake or mistakes, which is what makes her a successful manager of maybe the world’s most beloved IP. She also checks in with George every once in a while. |

There is no reason to ever check in with George after the last indy movie and the prequels. I also wonder how good of a relationship Lucas has with Disney after he called them white slavers. |

Bruce Timm ruined the killing joke and this movie with his sexual tones and fart jokes. Dude used to be great for BTAS but he's just old and horny now apparently and makes terrible movies now

Who's KK?
Edit: sorry already answered. She worked with Spielberg a lot too, correct? I'm wondering why Spielberg has never taken on a Superhero movie?

I liked the Justice League. Far from perfect, but an enjoyable movie. Better than BvS. Agree that more time spent on developing Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg would have been good. There's no way that Justice League is going to lose money, that's crazy talk. It may not make as much as they initially hoped, but it will make money.
