3 touchdowns to 7 interceptions... yeah, sure, the pick machine TOTALLY carried them to a title.

He led them back from 18 down to win the AFCCG against Tom "clutch" Brady. He led them back from 10 down in the Super Bowl and his offense controlled the ball for 39 minutes against a team who had the best defense in the NFL that year. A defense SO good, they got Rex Grossman to the Super Bowl. Anything else? By that standard, why does Tom Brady get credit for his 1st Super Bowl. 1 TD the entire postseason? His backup winning the AFCCG? His defense holding "the greatest show on turf" to 17 points? SAY IT WITH ME H Y P O C R I S Y |

Eric Decker with Peyton Manning : 1288 / 11
Eric Decker w/o: 741 / 4 Yeah, this whole "more with less" thing is bullshit. Great QB's make everyone around them better. That applies to Peyton. That applies to Tom. |

Yes. He absolutely, 100% did. 100%. I've used the Marvin Harrison / Eddie Kennison example for YEARS.
He's also making Emmanuel Sanders, an amazing talent, flourish. He also turned DT from JAG to a perennial all-pro. Was Wes Welker great before Tom Brady? Was Julian Edelman great before Tom Brady? Just stop. It's ridiculous that you think Peyton Manning doesn't make the players around him better. So for Peyton, all of his players are just all-pros with or without him ... as clearly referenced with how great DT and Decker were with Orton and Tebow. But Tom? His players just suck and hold him back. What ****ing bullshit. |

Randy Moss went from washed up dipshit in Oakland who only warranted a 4th round pick to ALL-TIME GREATEST SEASON ever with Tom Brady. And then, after Tom Brady, he couldn't even get on the field with Minnesota or Tennessee.
Great QB's, like Brady and Manning, make everyone around them better. It doesn't just apply to Peyton Manning. It's so tiring watching people try and say Manning has been surrounded with better talent his entire career. It's FALSE. It's idiot babble. |

you watch guys like Decker flounder without Manning but then look GREAT with Manning but it just gets immediately discounted
Demaryius Thomas was a nobody until Peyton Manning entered the scene. He was Jon Baldwin. Has no one ever sat there and thought, "gee, it's a lot easier to play wide receiver when the QB puts the ball where it needs to be 9 times out of 10?" There is a reason why guys like Deion Branch were great with Brady and terrible everywhere else. Because Tom and Peyton make everyone around them better. But on ChiefsPlanet.com, Peyton just has all-pros all around him (just natural all-pros, they made Peyton look so much better) and Tom has waiver wire fodder around him that just hold him back. let me say it again H Y P O C R I S Y |

No, I make actual points and back up my thoughts with factual evidence.
You guys just attack me and deliver no reason to back up your assertations. I'm used to it, though. I'll keep making great points and they will keep being unanswered. Read the OP again, and get back to me. Make it only about Tom, not about Peyton. |

I for one am astonished Eric Decker didn't set the world on fire with Geno Smith.

Decker has 64 catches in 14 games, which puts him on pace for 82 on 117 targets over the course of 16 games. He had 85 catches on 122 targets and 87 catches on 136 targets with Manning, so that projected 3-5 reception difference, on 5-19 more targets, really shows the Manning effect.
