Well, Clemson is 11-0, Michigan State is now your one-loss Big Ten leader, Notre Dame and Bama took care of business, and the Big X lost its undefeated team.
So now we're in the spot many predicted we'd be in, where the Big X's hopes lie with a one-loss team being placed in the playoff as a team that didn't win a conference championship over Notre Dame or some other team that did. |

Big 12 was stupid in backloading their conference schedule with all of the marquee games taking place in November.
Just like in the BCS-era, it is still about when you lose. If you lose early in the season you still have a chance to recover, but if you lose late in the season not as much. |

The Big 12 could very likely back into the playoffs by not having a CCG while someone that does loses.

Numerous 2nd tier sites, that have no vote, have OU #4, Iowa 5

OU took a little bit of a hit last night with the OkSt loss. A top 4-5 ranked OkSt team at home is a prettier matchup to end the season.
OU has nobody to blame but themselves for filling their diaper against Texass. |

ND should never get a chance at the playoffs until they are in a conference or 8 team playoff exist.

I still think there's no way they leave Notre Dame out. They're Notre Dame. But even that aside, the only have 1 loss and it was against the #1 team on the road. And they were a 2 point conversion away from tying the game.
And now you have a situation where they'll be compared to OU... who has one loss, against Texas. Notre Dame destroyed Texas. |
