Bray is expected to sign with Chiefs later today. Source said he is 'very excited' about going to Kansas City to play for Andy Reid. |

Glad we didn't have to use a draft pick for him. Reid has a lot of work to do on him.

I'm not getting any hopes up for this, he is an UDFA in the end. Talented guy, but I wouldn't give it a high chance of success.

Jeff Bray said Tyler is where he wanted to be - KC with andy reid. Jeff added: 'for 2 hours the phone did not stop ringing' from NFL teams. He means the two hours after the draft. So really Bray could of choosen any team but he decided he wanted to be in KC. |

That's not a good comparison. I don't think he's the headcase Ryan Leaf was. Leaf was completely full of himself.
But to be fair, Ryan Leaf had a much more accomplished college career. Heisman finalist, Pac 10 title, Rose Bowl... etc, etc. Bray QB'ed a team that went 1-7 in the SEC, and got benched in a game toward the end of the year. |

NFLDRAFTSCOUT.COM
Report: Undrafted Vols QB Tyler Bray signs with Chiefs By Derek Harper | The Sports Xchange/CBSSports.com Former Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray signed with the Kansas City Chiefs after going undrafted Saturday, according to an ESPN report. The No. 92 overall prospect by NFLDraftScout.com entering the draft and the No. 7-rated quarterback, Bray headed a star-laden group of underclassmen who went undrafted. Projeced as a third-round prospect, Bray was one of several quarterbacks who slid dramatically during the three-day event due to a general lack of need for most of the 32 teams in the NFL. Florida State's EJ Manuel was the only quarterback selected in the first round, and former Heisman Trophy hopeful Matt Barkley fell all the way to the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round. Bray left Tennessee following a record-breaking 2012 season that included 3,612 passing yards and 34 touchdowns against 12 interceptions with a 59.6 completion percentage. However, he appeared timid during his media session at the Scouting Combine. Failing to distinguish himself from the second-tier quarterback class, Bray was subject to a significant fall come the draft, and that's exactly what transpired. It's a coup for the Chiefs, who were believed to be one of the few teams potentially interested in a quarterback entering the draft. They declined to select one with any of their eight draft picks and ended up as a great destination for Bray, who might well benefit from not being locked into a team that drafted him. In Kansas City, he will have a chance to compete with five-year veteran Chase Daniel as the backup to starter Alex Smith. Daniel is 6-foot and has virtually no regular-season experience after backing up Drew Brees in New Orleans. Ricky Stanzi and Alex Tanney are also on the Chiefs' roster, neither of whom has played a regular-season down in the NFL. If Bray was going to suffer through the indignity of not being drafted, he couldn't have landed in a better spot.

Ryan leaf was also a sociopath, had a short temper, and was a drug addict. Traits that are significantly harder to hide in this 24 hour, constantly socially connected world we now live in. We should be fine.
