I think the news is flowing so slow right now that beat writers are just digging for anything to write about.

I'm starting to notice a trend of Reid claiming he previously "Really wanted" every player that's currently on the team he happens to be coaching.

There is no doubt that the Chiefs got the best of the retread coaches and QB's available this offseason.....

They just need to quit trying to sell this all offseason, no amount of positive articles are going to change any minds, no one is going to ease up on it until they start seeing successful play.
Andy, Alex... just make it work, fellas. |

Also, having read this article and seen Smith's comments at the press conference and on kcchiefs.com with Reid the Red, whenever he gets to the topic of, "Why do you think Kansas City is a good fit?" it all seems to just stall. Everybody points back to the fact that Alex lost his job in San Fran and wanted to start SOMEwhere, but when pressed on it, Alex doesn't leave a very convincing answer that Kansas City really was his first choice.
I'm sure he's happy just to be here, to have a team to call his own, and to work with a coach who wanted him. I just doubt that when he lost his job to Kaepernick and the Niners talked to him about getting traded, he was instantly like, "Kansas City. Yup. That's my city. That's my team. Make it happen." like we're led to believe. |

Alex just pretty much picked the "best" of the crappiest teams in the NFL he had a chance to start at
it was probably down to KC Bills Raiders Jags maybe some other dumpy squad We have better talent than all the other teams on his short list, that's just the sad truth. |

Did Smith actively seek a trade to KC, or did the Niners just go with the best offer?? I mean, how much input can Smith have into where he gets traded anyways?
