He's a tad overrated on this board IMO due to some obvious homerism....he's still very good though.

**** it, let's just turn this into a Joeckel thread.
That's all you neanderthals want to talk about. So **** it. If Branden Albert has started left tackle for the Aggies last year, I'm guessing his performance would have been almost exactly the same as Joeckel's. Except the run game would have been kicking even more ass on his side. |

You have it backwards...how would Joekel do as an NFL LT is the question that can't be answered. |

Direckshun, wanna make a bet?
I say that Luke Joeckel, provided he starts 14+ games, will allow 7 sacks or more this season. If he doesn't start a minimum of 14 games, the bet is off. |

That question actually can be answered, and probably will be in about five months. Joeckel's athleticism, measureables, and level of domination at college level projects very comfortably to being an above average LT in the NFL. |

My point is next year Joeckel will get his ass handed to him it took Albert 3 years to be LT he is now. Joeckel doesn't have near the athletic ability that Albert has so what you see the next two years is as good as it's going to get when it comes to overall growth and potential.

He will perform admirably, as Kalil did this past year. I expect the same performance out of him. |

Either way, letting Albert walk or even getting compensation through a trade isn't helping this team. We still need a LT and have a proven one that is very very good. We've been searching for stability at LT since Roaf retired, we finally have it....pay Albert and draft another need. |

Putting any college player on par with a top NFL player is the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
