Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I already have a couple 10/22s, and absolutely love them for plinking. I am thinking about adding the 22/410 Savage though. Kind of ugly but always wanted one of the old models.

I've had some serious fun with the Ruger takedown 10/22.
Costs a little more but well worth it IMO. If you decide to go this route you need to definitely consider a couple of the BX-25 mags to go with it. One of the best designed mags I have seen. |

Well, I finally did it and pulled the trigger on a Fort Knox fire safe today. It gets delivered Good Friday, Good Friday indeed!

There is an outfit in town that specializes in moving safes, yeah, I hired them. No way in hell I'm going to try to move that 875 pound steel hog myself. About 100 things could happen if I tried that and 99 of them aren't good.

How much does something like that cost? Not the safe itself... the "moving and installation" part?

I will Install it once in place, but they go to the store, pick it up, hump it up the outside stairs and place it where I want it in the house for $180.

I'm still having the cycling issue with my S&W pistol using the reloaded ammo, and I think we finally figured out why - the rounds we're making are just a touch too long. They're sticking in the barrel rifling. Factory ammo working fine. We just need to adjust the length a bit and everything should be fine.
The reloading thing is cool, but also a twitchy pain in the ass. |

For anyone interested, I just ordered 6 30rd AR mags from Sig Sauer for $21.50 each. They're the IMI Defense polymer mags (reviews: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/produ...e=1000#Reviews ). I had to call Sig Sauer (603-418-8102) to order them because their website kept erroring out.
Does anyone have experience with these? I was also thinking of trying these - http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...roduct_id=1195 . |
