Same boat with Alex Smith as in Matt Cassel 2010. Coach Reid wants to pass the ball not just hand off to the running backs. Alex Smith is a game manager not a game winner. Do not want not even as a back up, he doesn't want to be a back up. Let young QBs duke it out with one being Geno Smith and a later round QB.
