Not a bad beer. I like it. I agree that it's pretty well balanced.
That said, it probably wasn't worth what I paid for it. And it damn sure isn't worth what some people go through to get it. |

Instead of brewing Chocolate Ale this year, Boulevard has brewed a Coffee Ale, collaborating with The Roasterie to do so. That beer may end up causing just as much hysteria in KC as Chocolate Ale did.

That is going to be huge. Hell, it could launch the Roasterie more than Boulevard.

I finally bought some 80 acre hoppy wheat, as recommended by some people here. It was very good.

It was a PR nightmare for them. So many complaints from people who couldn't get a bottle.

Are you sure you actually drank it? I think there's something wrong with your palate. It's no what some have made it out to be, but the flavor is without a doubt more sophisticated than that.

It wasn't a nightmare. It was marketing genius. Now, people are going to flock to whatever they put out in fear of missing the next big thing.

As for it being a nightmare, well, that's from Boulevard themselves. Internally, they hate Kansas City's response to that beer. |
