Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

That is because his HC worked at TT and grew up essentially in an Air Raid system.

TBF, what you posted isn't what the Air Raid system is about.

My demotion of Saccopoo reminds me of that ST: Voyager episode where Seven is put in charge of a command unit in engineering. To make things more efficient, she assigns everyone borg designations.

Seven of Nine: Six of Ten, this is not your assignment.
Harry Kim: Please, stop calling me that.
Seven of Nine: You're compromising our productivity... I'm reassigning you to chamber maintenance. Your new designation is Two of Ten.

TBF, what you posted isn't what the Air Raid system is about.
What it's about is that Holgorsen is insane offensively and has found his maestro in Geno Smith.

The Air Raid is a quick set, multi-read offensive system that has receivers running off multiple routes (three per) depending upon the defensive alignment.

The key is having a QB that can quickly diagnose the runs off the snap and go through the progressions quickly to find the best, most immediate target.

With Geno Smith running it, he's capable of not just hitting the dump off, but finding guys downfield (go watch last week's WVU/Baylor game and see the guy hitting his recievers in stride 35 yards+ downfield). Smith is insanely fast in working through his progressions and finding the most potent threat.

Right now, he's on pace to shatter the completion % mark and it's not the system. He's not throwing 40 yarders against air. The guy is a freaking prodigy.
