I've talked to two guys who said I needed a laptop or computer to set the iPAD up. I'm not worried about syncing anything. Just want to get it set up and start toying with it is all. |

At least I'm 95% sure this is the case. I think I've set up like 3 of them without a computer.

You'll need an internet connection or a computer. It doesn't require both, but you have to have one or the other.

I feel like a putz.
There's a little button right above the volume control which apparently turns off the sound effects. Durrrrrrrrr. |

You can actually dig a bigger hole if you have that toggled to mute and switch the functionality of that button to rotation lock. |

could be a knob on the game or go to preferences in the game and check the routing there.

You did try a reboot I hope.
Edit never mind. Appears you found the issue.

I have a question. I don't use my iPad much anymore, but I need to get around 30 pictures off of it. I have no idea how to do this, and it's driving me ****ing insane

Well that's the thing. I don't really use my iPad anymore, and I've divested myself completely of the Apple iTunes/iCoud infrastructure. But a friend put a couple of pictures on there, and I wanted them on my other computer. I figured I could just do share, and then email to myself. Or something. I just wanted the damn files. But it was giving me all sorts of trouble and frustrating me.
Of course, the easy thing to do was just plug the ****ing thing into my computer, and that worked fine. It's funny how when you go so long without using cords, you ignore the most obvious solution. And, in fairness, if I had set it up with my Google Drive account, I bet that would have made things easier as well. So mainly me being an idiot. |
