This towns two liquor stores rip people off. Small, college town...most of these college people aren't smart enough to know. The lady said she hadn't raised prices on them in 15 months. a 2.50 price jump made zero sense. |

Boulevard website says the Wheat is 3.5% by weight 4.4% by volume. So, does that mean the bar here isn't serving 6 point like they say they are?

I don't know a damn thing about the archaic and tyrannical rules of 3.2 beer. All I know is that I'm very glad to live where I don't have to worry about it.

Was over at the Uptown Theater for a big local metal festival. The only bands worth seeing were Vanlade and Ascension, so before they went on I walked over to Gomer's Midtown. Picked up some bombers:
Southern Tier Iniquity (Imperial Black IPA) -- it's a double IPA that's made with dark malt Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye -- an IPA with a significant amount of rye in the grain bill. Great Divide Fifteenth Anniversary Ale -- this one is an Imperial IPA that has been aged, curiously enough for a double IPA, in oak barrels. |

I bought two bottles of wine. Not opening them tonight, seeing as I'm on call. Both are Barefoot ($5.99/bottle). One Riesling and one Shiraz.
