Actually I found this. Although this isn't recognized by the NCAA as a National Championship it appears TCU beat something called Carnegie Tech.

Carnegie actually held the lead against the TCU Texans into the 2nd half but ended up losing giving the Texans a 15-8 victory.
It would be 20 years before TCU saw another bowl victory. Congrats. A true blue-blood. |
