Does M. Night Shamwow even have enough money in the bank of public opinion to give this a try at this point? I'm thinking not.
How the hell does this guy even get financed these days? |

He reminds people about The Sixth Sense, and they cave. Some of his stuff is ok. I'm pretty easy to entertain as far as movies go though.

So did I but it probably would have worked better as a mini series. Hmm, just did a search and it's only 10 episodes.. that'll probably help.
Sometimes they take these books and try to stretch them out for 20+ episode seasons and you end up with tons of boring filler. Though Under the Dome was short too (if memory serves) and it was pretty poorly done. |

the books were a fun read, but yeah, I don't see how this works as anything but a limited series.

I think this premieres this evening. Early reviews through the first 5 episodes are ok but not great. It's not LOST and delivers apparently starting ep 5 which reviewers got.
It's broadcast TV so adjust expectations down, I'd say. |

Enjoyed the first episode. Haven't read the books but might have to check them out. Better than having another gd reality show on the networks.

I did enjoy the first episode.....but.....I have a hard time taking this dude seriously. I just simply CANNOT get his Something About Mary character out of my mind every time I see him. to me....it's llke he's always just on the verge of doing something funny/stupid. hahaha.
