This is a really tough heat for the #2 spot. My votes:
#1 - Back to the Future. Recalling that this is a tournament about "favorite scenes", this one really makes me smile. Good acting, good music, good concept. You can't beat this scene. #2 - Inglorious Basterds. It's suspenseful, but in a slow burn. Very nicely done. #3 - Apocalypse Now. It's tough to knock this scene out. It could easily be #2, but on this particular evening it loses by a whisker. #4 - The Godfather. If this scene is ranked fourth, it's a top-notch heat. This one loses because of the one instance of bad acting by the guy who gets shot on the massage table.

Go, Marty McFly!
It would be kind of awesome if that scene won the whole tournament.

I don't understand the love for the Back to the Future scene. It's horribly lip synced and the voice change from MJF to the vocals in the song are completely different.

Two classics in this heat......Old-school classic in the Godfather.......and recent, soon-to-be-classic, Inglorious.

This scene is the only theory that explains the creation of rock and roll in a believable manner. Johnny B. Goode is one of the best rock and roll songs ever, and it's also one of the earliest. Are we supposed to believe that Chuck Berry created it from a foundation of big band and classic country? Time travel is the only logical explanation.
