That's because it's likely not true. You see, the people standing next to the statues are in line to enter the stadium. What are people drinking in those lines? Beer. What are you not allowed to carry into the stadium? Beer. So, somebody likely chugged the rest of his beer in line before getting to the front, and not seeing any trashcans, just set it on the statue. Next person that chugged their beer saw an empty can on the statue amd said, I guess we just set them here....and then you have the domino effect. That's why someone mentioned earlier that today when there were more trashcans there were no cans set on the statue.
