Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I've had to order almost all my .223 online. You can find it in stores sometimes, but usually at a pretty steep markup.

We've got one store about a mile from my house that's hit and miss with off brand ammo. My high school OC is the manager now he'll let me know when they get stuff but it's still far and few between.

OK in light of another thread here's a question for the group. So I've got multiple builds in progress to the point where I have a large amount of parts for builds in progress. Right now I've mostly just got things separated in boxes with different guntypes per box. But I'd like something a little cleaner/better organized.
Anyone have good gun part storage? I'd need a quite a bit of storage. Maybe a big tool cabinet? Or is there something better available?

Cool. I moved to a new place last year that has given me the chance to do some shooting at Geese. I hunted them a few times when I was a young pup, but haven't in some 35 years. I've got 2 shot guns but both only will take 2 3/4 inch shells. It takes a hell of a hit on a Giant Canadian to bring him down. So I need a goose gun. Kinda partial to the old Wingmaster 870 Magnums that will shoot 3 inch shells, but not the 3 1/2 inch ones. Any goose hunters in here?

Mostly rifle parts, although there is some 1911 stuff. Barrels, stocks etc which makes finding a clean parts storage system a bit more of a pita.

Remington quality is not what it once was IMO Mossberg 500 or 835 are better bangs for your buck. I dnt waist my time with 3-1/2 inch shells unless their is some super great buy Not a big fan of semiautomatic's for Goose hunting either, they tend to fail when its real cold out.
