I haven't given the book a second look, so I'm not sure I remember everything, but I don't think Shumway was married, and Dale Barbara definitely didn't kill anyone as I recall. (None of that bothers me...)

I think the main thing is that the actors portraying Junior and Angie just sucked.

If they follow the book there, Angie won't be an issue for long, but Junior will be a major player all season, getting crazier and crazier. And I'm guessing they aren't following the book at all there, since he hasn't already killed her. So we probably get months of them in the fallout shelter just to torture me.

@ your spoiler comment. I did indeed realize that she shouldn't be where she is...she should be gone....and I thought the same thing.....oh NO!
