Do you know ALL the words to popular songs?
I'm not talking about songs like Happy Birthday or Jingle Bells. I'm talking about rock and roll, or country, or pop, or other songs like that.
I was thinking about it today. I have a lot of songs that I like and listen to a lot, but the words apparently go in one ear and out the other. If you ask me to sing "Thunder Road" or "Fred Jones Part 2", or "Piano Man", I can't do it without humming some of the parts. And I've heard these songs a zillion times. I'm not sure that I can sing a single song from start to finish. If you asked me, I would say yes, but if you tell me to do it, I don't think I can. So think about it for yourself. Can you sing any/some/many songs from start to finish without the music behind you and without singing along with the singer? If so, prove it. |
