Sammy Watkins leaves Bills' practice with Groin Injury
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-groin-injury/
Quote:
The Bills held their first formal practice of the week on Wednesday and one of their most important offensive players wasn’t able to make it through the session.
Wide receiver Sammy Watkins wasn’t able to finish the practice because of a groin injury. Watkins has been listed on recent Bills injury reports with the same injury, but was a full participant in practices and listed as probable for their Week Eight game against the Jets. Watkins had three catches for 157 yards in that contest, which indicates the groin wasn’t giving him much trouble and the Bills had a bye in Week Nine.
Coach Doug Marrone was circumspect when discussing Watkins’s condition after practice, saying, via Mike Rodak of ESPN.com, that Watkins has “an injury.” The next two days of practice should offer more of an idea about any impact on Watkins’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
Running back Fred Jackson was also a limited participant on Wednesday, but that was a positive development as Jackson tries to return from the groin injury that kept him out of the win against the Jets. When discussing Jackson’s chances of playing, Marrone said “nothing he does surprises me” so it would appear he has a chance of returning to the lineup if he continues to progress this week.
