Carr and Fales are pretty much the same guy, and I think Fales has better field understanding and accuracy as well as already experienced in the same type of system that Reid is currently running. Carr is working with a better team.
Pretty easy to dissect the comparisons. They both are playing in the same conference. And as I said earlier, neither are as good as Utah State's Chuckie Keeton, who would be the guy I'd look at drafting if I was the Chiefs next season, depending upon how he comes back from the knee injury. Personally, I think that by picking either Fales or Carr, you are simply getting a backup to Smith, not a potential starter in three or four years. You are basically drafting a replacement for Chase Daniel, not an eventual replacement to Alex Smith. And that's not worth spending a first round pick on, which you will most likely have to do when picking Derek Carr. Quote:
