That's a good one but it seems like the "rigged" argument is meant to be made after the results. When predictions are made beforehand they are wrong. But after the games you can always say "well the NFL wanted this and this to happen so obviously it did." It's a good system.

I think the NFL wanted a Rodgers/Smith storyline...they are both in that age area where the league can milk them for a few more seasons while the young QBs/Luck get their footing.

Once Rodgers went down...I think it switched to Roethlisberger getting a ring on the way out...heath is going to determine if that happens. It's the one thing the puppet masters cant control (see Raiders 2016)

NFL wants Goff/Wentz to be the Steelers whipping boy now....

There is no "if" the NFL is rigged...it's always been rigged since it's inception. It's the very reason it was created...people just dont want to accept it but as tech advances, people are slowly starting to understand. We didn't have multiple replays before the internet...and forums to discuss it. You had sports center and the newspaper....

Well then if you want that storyline then the NFL is going to have to rig something positive for our boys in the trenches on both sides of the ball and do something drastic for our 2ndary.

People have a hard time reversing their programming as a youth....we were sold this was a legitimate sport without knowing it's roots were in gambling...and that the founders had strong mafia ties. Investing your civic pride and emotions on something cements itself to the observer...even if it's a farce.

People thought the WWF was legit for years....

We all saw how refs can dictate the outcome last Thursday....the Raiders won like 5 games that way last year...in the final minute.

Steelers - Packers rematch assuming a healthy Rodgers return would be the matchup I'd presume to be preferred by the media and therefore the league.

Not too far behind would be Pats - Packers, again assuming a healthy Rodgers.

Beyond that there aren't a lot of established, marketable stars on teams that aren't glaringly obvious non-competitive also-rans.
