Aldi has some pre-packaged chicken salad that is legit. Cranberry almond or somesuch, but it's very good and cheap. Won't buy meat there and really don't every shop at one, but I can see the draw.
Their snack food is just fine if you're getting munchies. |

I'm weird about meat too - if it adds any consolation or comfort, their ground beef graded out fine w/ me, it was closely inspected while cooking and eating.

Aldi Peanut Butter is pretty good. I was pretty much raised eating Aldi frozen burritos for lunches but they aren't the same anymore.

They continually get different stock on the wine, but aside from their really cheap bottles, the $2.99 stuff, I haven't had a bad(relative) bottle from them, and some have been pretty good.

I had a bad experience there before when I tried their milk and it was bad 2 days after I purchased it despite an expiration date that was much later then when it actually expired.
Having said that, I won't buy milk and eggs or meat, but I like to purchase some things from Aldi: -brown sugar -spices -condiments -canned foods -chips -frozen fruit -bread You just gotta be picky about what you want

We have an Aldi that sits below a Trader Joe's, so it's always fun to play hipster or poor in the parking garage.

Aldi has the best price on unrefined coconut oil. Usually $2 cheaper than any other local groc. store.

I am a fan of ALDI. My biggest issue with them has always been their produce. Everything else I feel is just fine.
