Would You Welcome the Chiefs Leaving to Rid Yourself of the Hunts?

Bill Simmons' column on Daniel Snyder made me think about this again.

Over the last forty years there have been two consistent themes with the Chiefs: futility and the Hunt family.

If you were presented with the option of the Chiefs leaving for LA and getting a new franchise in Kansas City in 2018 would you take that deal, or is your loyalty to the Chiefs alone too great?

Its not a black and white issue, if it were so simple every team would have had a HOF QB at the helm in the last 15 years yet only 4 have.

I would love for KC to have a Rodgers at QB right now, more than anything. But I am not naive enough to think the Hunts don't want that.

What would possibly make more money for them than having Luck or Rodgers as their QB?

Some of you guys don't connect all the dots and only use the logic you want until it gets you to the point you want to make.

If the whole belief is all Clark wants is money in his pocket, its cheaper than ever to draft a QB and pay him for 5 years. If you are winning you then show him the bank and still win and make money right?

But Clark is afraid of that right?
I think this regime will take a first rd QB. Alex was easily the only real option year one. I think the plan is to have him be the QB while they build the team and patiently look for the right QB.

I can't see Alex being paid $20 million in his last season.

I remember a time in my life where I stood up for the Chiefs like this Marcellus guy.

Then I grew up and realized this team is shit year in and year out using the same stale formula that doesn't work while watching team like the Bucs, Raiders, Cardinals, Bears, Seahawks and Panthers make the Super Bowl while we still look for a single playoff win.

It would be cool, new and fresh to get an expansion franchise.

And because there is more leeway for expansion team HCs they would probably pull the trigger on a R1QB.

And Arrowhead would still be around. Nothing would change except the leadership of the franchise. I mean we might have to get rid of our gay McDonalds ketchup and mustard uniforms and change the team name but who gives a ****.

BURN THIS SHIT TO THE GROUND

The Houston Texans have yet to come close to matching anything the Houston Oilers accomplished (which wasn't exactly a high bar).

The new Cleveland Browns also haven't come close to matching anything the old Cleveland Browns accomplished… which like the Chiefs, was filled with heart break.

The Baltimore Ravens and St. Louis Rams have each won Super Bowls so you can argue they are more successful than their cities respective previous franchises (Colts and Cardinals), but Baltimore had to wait a decade for a new team, and St. Louis now risks the possibility of losing the Rams.

Those money grubbing owners who want to win Super Bowls are the worst. The ones who care only about the windfall of playoff tickets and merchandise and jacking up ticket prices for years to come after winning a title, or maybe several. I'm glad we don't have ownership that only cares about making money, cause if we did, man. That would suck.

As far as what I think, I moved out of KC 30 years ago, so as long as they are the Chiefs and wear the same uniform it really doesn't matter what city they play in. It would be a STUPID move for KC, but it would be what some of you idiots deserve.
Nope. It's about the City not the ****ing McShit-myself uniform. Go be the Terra Haute Chiefs for all I give a ****. I'll just laugh when my new team kicks the ever loving piss out of you.

Hunt isnt going away. If the Hunts make you so miserable why dont you give your support to another team and not be such a miserable fan?

Arguing over a few million here and there is ridiculous. It isn't about money its about long term decision making and Clark hasn't had enough history to look bad in that area.

He unloaded the bank on Reid because he thought he was the solution. Right or wrong its not about Clark's commitment.

Its classic fandom to think you understand his situation. Hindsight is 20/20 and Clark has more time coming to him before the decision should be made on his commitment to winning

Hell, guys, don't even bother.

Stupidity is written so deeply into the DNA of some of these ****ers that it's not worth trying to reason with them.

Anytime the Chiefs lose a game you're going to see them sprout up with shit like this, and there's no way to stop it.
