Take a dip in the hot springs, and pet the buffaloes. It's a pretty popular past time....

I think there is an area where all the adult swingers hang out. Put out sign Mature Couple seeking other Mature Couple. No limits hoping to see Eclipse or Uranus. Chiefs and Royals fans preferred.
I think you can have fun next to Ol Faithful

To me, the best part was the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The waterfall is beautiful. And the Tetons, immediately to the south, are absolutely magnificent. In particular, do not miss Jenny Lake.
As for the rest, well, it's neat to see once, and I'm glad I went, but once is enough. The geothermal features are cool, but it's all sulfurous, so it all stinks. After a while, I got sort of tired of it. I mean, how much boiling stinking steam and boiling stinking mud can you look at before it just stinks? Plus, the roads were awful, prices exorbitant (at least when I was there, the park service contracted out to one company to run all the services, so there's no competition-they can charge whatever they want), and there were still vast areas of the park that were still mostly desolate from the '88 fire. I was there in '99, so that may be much better now - I don't know. I was also there the week before Memorial Day, so the crowds weren't so bad, but you'll probably be bumper-to-bumper this time of year. I've also spent enough time out west that buffaloes lost their allure long ago. Had those nasty ****ers been hunted to extinction, I would give zero shits about it. Topped a hill going about 50 and a bunch of them were standing in the middle of the road - I missed hitting one by only a couple of feet. Saw a few bears, but from a great distance. Yosemite absolutely blows it away. I'd go back there in a heartbeat. And I frequently visit the Black Hills, which IMO also blow Yellowstone away. Sorry to sound like a killjoy, but maybe if you know what to expect going in it will hopefully help you from avoiding being let down. In any event, I hope you enjoy it more than I did. |

Fairy Falls is a cool, easy hike. It's about 5 miles to and back, and the waterfall at the end is definitely worth seeing. Tower Falls, Old Faithful boardwalk, Grand Canyon of YS are all touristy but still fun and awesome to see.

3 people have died in North America this year from Bears.
Amount of people who have died from Islamic Terror attacks in the United States in the last calendar year. Zero. Bears are the greatest threat to humanity.
