One game separates us from second place in the AFC...
For those that have panicked,
The NFC is weak as, and the AFC is stacked. Hence the record differential It's all guuud! |

Are you familiar with the concept of the 'tiebreaker'?

Fine, you talked me into it. I'll allow the Chiefs to play the remainder of the games on their assigned NFL schedule.
If they don't win most of them though, I'm going to reserve the right to be pretty upset. |

I would have replied sooner, but internets issues...
Yeah I took that into account, but because the tie breaker doesn't count in week 10, I based it solely on win vs loss.
it's simple, if the Chiefs offense didn't have the flukey turnovers, illadvised passes, we would probably only have two losses. all this talk about the Chiefs opponents having an above 500 record... every team damned near in the AFC is in the same boat. If KC wins tomorrow, and it must be done convincingly, we are in good shape. Other than that, we are defo in trouble. |

We are kind of screwed on the tie breakers now, especially if Baltimore wins their division.

But your point is well taken — makes the Steelers game even more important for us to win. OP point is also good — go 6-2 the rest of the way probably gets us a ticket to the 2021 revenge tour. |

The AFC is not so much stacked as it is mediocre (which is a good thing, for us anyway). The NFC is a little more top heavy but that doesn't make it weak, per se. The Cardinals are clearly the best team in the NFL at this point and the Packers (with Rodgers) are right up there. Bills, Ravens, Titans, and Bengals all have at least one head scratching loss. I don't think anyone, even nationally, really takes the Browns or Raiders that seriously. The Chargers are still inconsistent and we can't stop stepping on our own dicks. I agree with your overall point, which is that the Chiefs are still very much in the thick of things, but the AFC as a whole actually kinda sucks.

I don't see an AFC team winning it all unless we get our offense going. |

Right. If you had to pick a SB winner right now, it would go: AZ GB or LA maybe the Titans but I would probably still put the Cowboys in here you have to get 3 or 4 deep before an AFC team, based on the now, is a legit contender. |

Why? Dallas has played a marshmallow soft schedule. They have done nothing to show that they are a contender.

We've only played 1 of 6 divison games. We get a chance to even the score against LA and have both games against the Raiders and Broncos left to play. The Raiders and Chargers have had their bye week and that could be a factor as the season wears on. Even if we don't win the conference, I still think we win the division and get a home playoff game.
