Thoughts on Jordan Lucas?
Had a good game against the Jaggs and last week a lot of people were impressed with his performance against the Pats. With Seth Keysor even calling him a "Godsend" on a recent podcast I listened to. So what's everyone thoughts on this guy? Is he a step up from Murray and Sorenson? Could he be a quality partner for Berry If/when he returns?
With all the heat that the defense has taken lately, he seems to have flown under the radar. |

If he's taken out of the starting lineup heads need to roll.

I’m liking what he’s doing. But, my fear is, everyone else sucks so bad that my standards may be low.

If he makes another play on the football some around here will think he's Ed Reed.

I love what he's doing, but we still gave up 43 to the ****ing patriots.

I thought he looked active and quick. Looks a little lean. Not sure how much of a tackling presence he is.
He was largely invisible against the Pats, which i assume is a good thing. Do we have any PFF stats on him from the Pats game?

He's looked a lot better at tackling than Eric Murray from what I've seen but of course that's not saying much. I do like what I've seen from him though.

Don’t we always end up with a guy we grab out of nowhere who looks really good at first, but comes back to reality really quick?
Phillip Gaines, Marcus Cooper, and Terrance Mitchell were similar in that regard. That being said, I’d keep him in there until that happens. We know how bad the alternative is. |

Gaines never looked good. Cooper and Mitchell did and then the former fell apart and the later regressed but was let go way, way too soon.
If Lucas can be good for the next 5 weeks, I'm thrilled. He's always around the ball. He seems to have some sense of how to tackle. Really enjoy his attitude. Thumbs up. |

Like Kathy Bates locking down? Sanders went for 108 and 73 in 2014 against the Chiefs. I admittedly didn't hate him his rookie season and then he got injured early in 2015 in that Green Bay game. All downhill from there.

I’m talking about when he lined up inside. Anybody claiming Gaines wasn’t very good for a rookie playing inside didn’t watch him, sorry. |
