No yet, the development of Mahomes is more important than winning games this year. I wouldn't be suprised if he starts after the bye if the year isn't going well.

No start. This season should be spent for him to learn the playbook, work on foot work and get our young receivers experience.

This. Nothing matters this year but his development... Hopefully at our bye week he starts and we never look back.

I wouldn't be opposed to that. We could very well go 6-1 during that stretch. The Bills have traded away half their team, the Jets are awful, The Chargers will have 43 guys on IR by that point, the Donks will have nothing left to play for, and the Fins with Cutler won't be frightening. That leaves the Fade at home and at the Giants. We should be able to hand the Fade another loss at Arrowhead, but the Giants are tough. And for his first game as starter, that would probably be a loss,

Not with our current crop of receivers. A top priority for next season should be going out and getting him a big bodied Brandon Marshall type wide receiver, either in the draft or free agency. One more option at receiver in addition to Hill and Kelce will help him tremendously.

People can hate on his footwork all they want but so far he's been good. He was very accurate downfield with bad mechanics in college and people said he wouldn't be able to do that against NFL caliber players.
Fast forward 3 months and he's still accurate against 2nd and some 1st string defenses in preseason. He needs work but the talent and football IQ have been impressive so far.

It's really surprising that he hasn't thrown a pick yet. I know he was close on the one throw in Cincinnati, but other than that he's been really good about protecting the ball. The biggest thing for me is his mental ability reading through multiple reads, feeling pressure and showing his confidence in the pocket. If footwork is his biggest issue, then he's doing fine. Very correctable compared to the other stuff.
