I was listening to 610 on the radio this morning and they were gushing over PMII. They were mentioning that the Chiefs were possibly entertaining AS to Jacksonville because of their confidence in PHII. They said there were trade rumors yesterday regarding this situation so I thought I'd come on here and find something but... NOTHING!

You guys heard anything?

They also played a Mike Vick interview of him talking about PMII and Vick spoke highly of him as well. I think the interview clip was of Vick on the Cowherd show.

There's no truth to the rumor, at the moment... a Jaguars blog posted an article of QBs who would be good options for them to acquire right now, and Smith was the cover picture. Jalen Ramsey likes the post, and that led the internet to run with it... so people started to ask themselves 'what if?'

But no, it's not happening.

Unless a team is willing to fork over a 1st, I doubt the Chiefs are remotely interested in letting Smith go.

Think about how the GM office has been working these kinds of things since rolling in to town.
Looking at Mahomes a year before the draft? Check.
I would surmise that many other examples exist as well.
Of COURSE communications are being made. Innuendo, hints, and pretty much anything else that stays on the low and can not be construed as bad faith or tampering is absolutely underway.
We're so used to thinking of the Chiefs as reactionary morons who follow the herd by 10 years too late, that it's hard to think clearly and realize that the old ways of business for KC are dead and gone.
After the trigger pull of '17, I put absolutely NOTHING beyond what this office will or will not do to stay ahead of the game.

And that's a GREAT thing.
