Wade Davis, Why can't I quit you?

Just watched Davis strike out Bryce Harper for his 23rd save in 23 attempts. The thought of him not being in the Royals bullpen this year cuts me deep. Dreams of HDH. Oh well..."Go Royals". That is all.

Wade Davis having his worst year in 4 years.

Looks like it was smart to give the Cubs his down years.

Worst year after 3 years of superhuman stats is still better than most. 23 of 23 saves, 2.43 ERA. Down years? I'll take them.

2.3 era, 100% on save percentage. And yes, it is a down year. Must be nice.

I still try not to think about how we could very easily have HDH in our bullpen this very day.

There's no way on earth Holland was going to come back and setup for Wade.

Let's think about these options:

1) Come back and be a 7th inning guy in Kansas City for a few million dollars.

2) Go be an actual closer in Colorado for a deal that could be worth as much as 2 years, $35 million if you hit your incentives.

Which one would you pick?
