What if Smith gets hurt?

I think most sane fans want Mahomes to sit behind Smith for a year. If Smith were to get hurt do you scrap the plan and play the rookie or ride it out with Bray and hope he plays well and turns into trade bait?

I will not cheer.

Your Bray comment sounds like a Reid QB 100%. Build them up and trade them before they get exposed.

You play Bray. You don't invest that many picks to throw your prize out to the wolves.

I'm so tired of hearing this shit. You CAN'T learn from the ****ing bench, besides, he would not be thrown to the wolves because we have a SB team EXCEPT AT QB!!!!!!! Why WASTE another ****ing year getting bounced in the first/second round? That is bullshit. We traded 17 spots into the ****ing top ten for this guy. PLAY HIS ASS!!!!! IDGAF if we go 9-7, Get this shit started!!! We AIN'T WINNING SHIT WITH ALEX!!!!!!

I wonder what % of the fanbase shares this sentiment? It's hard to imagine it's less than 40% quite honestly. I think one of you should create a poll and gauge the temperature of CP.

I see this QB situation escalating quickly.

@ Pats
vs Eagles
@ Chargers
vs Redskins

@ Texans
vs Steelers
@ Raiders
vs Broncos

@ Cowboys
bye week 10

That's an interesting home/road rotation with lots of tough matchups.

I know the idea around here is that KC should be 3-1 and then likely 6-2 or 5-3 heading into Dallas. But, what if there's a stumble early?

Those first 4 games are going to be very interesting, esp how KC plays @ NEP in week 1 and returns home for the Eagles.

Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith say hello. One sat behind a veteren QB. The other was thrown to the wolves and was bloodied early and often and frankly caused many of the issues he gets a ton of shit for today (happy feet, ultra-conservative, etc. etc. etc.)

Best case for us would be Smith going down week 17 and Mahommes taking us to the SB and getting a win.

I was kind of hoping Mahomes is a fast learner, and Smith gets a minor injury about week 8, then Mahomes has a chance to get his feet wet before he leads us to a SB win!

If Smith gsts hurt, there are 3 different options I see.....

1) Bray comes in and our offense isnt affected in the slightest bit.

2) Mahomes comes in, isnt ready, and our offense suffers dramatically.

3) Mahomes comes in, provides a spark to our offense, and we go on to accomplish more as a team than we were going to without an injury.

No affect, huge step back, or huge step forward.

Let's be real here, there is no such thing as a huge step back from Alex Smith's offense.

wanna bet?

We start turning the ball over on offense and you'll find out about how important turnovers were for our defense.

Could get ugly
