Would SF want Alex Smith back?
Before Tigger and the Smiffs get offended... this isn't post isn't about Alex despite the topic.
If KC is going to move forward at the QB position with a 1st round pick... it is going to be difficult to do so from the #27 spot. Is this out of the world thinking or would it not be an equitable trade for both parties if we were to trade Smith back to the 49'ers and swap 1st round picks (they have the 2nd overall)? SF addresses their needs at QB and still have a 1st round pick to spend on the DE they sorely need. We get a high 1st round pick to spend on the QBOTF and either let him sit behind Foles or just start him from day 1. |

Sounds like a Madden trade that wouldn't be accepted.

We would have to give up picks for that to work. Smith isn't worth just a swap of 1st round picks.

We should have traded Foles back when teams were desperate at the beginning of the year.
nobody wanted to do that, 'we might need Foles to win a game if Smith gets hurt' So what, big ****ing deal. Foles did just that but in the end, it didn't mean shit, still didn't win a ****ing playoff game. Much rather have an extra 1st round pick now.

Alex Smith doesn't have that kind of value to move up from the bottom of the first, all the way up to the top. Shit, Alex was only worth a second round pick four years ago when he was 29 years old.
