Well, I'm moving from California to Kansas City

Thanks for keeping this CA native who randomly chose Chiefs as his team (on January 16, 1994) connected to the city he never knew.

Hope to see you guys around town and at tailgates.

Job.

Its a long story and quite a random and serendipitous path, but this board left me open to the idea (yes, in spite of the more recent influx of knuckleheads on here) but thanks to some of the real friends I've made on here through the years I was open to the idea.

Just sayin'... looking forward to being at all the home games, it's not the reason I'm moving but a nice fringe benefit.

God help me, and keep me thin.

Looking forward to hanging out this summer and during tailgates.

FWIW - I don't think this board does a very good job incorporating new blood. When I got here on 2010 I heard some version of "Who the hell are you?" or "Shut up newb" a ton of times from people woth 2000-2005 join dates. I got the feeling there was in insular older guard who really wasn't into taking on new members.

Having been here for a few years I don't really think that's the case. But that was the first impression I got.

Excellent. If I had to go back, I would and be cool with it. But I was done with it when I split.

You're gonna live like a King in KC.

Just a suggestion to add to this. If you work in Kansas, live in Kansas and vice versa. That way you'll avoid having to pay state income taxes to both states.

This is disinformation. When you work in one state and live in another, you get a credit for the taxes you pay in the other state.

Effectively though, if you work in KS or live in KS you're paying the KS tax rates.

Screw that though...keep it on the MO side.

True. I live on the good side of State Line and work in Kansas. I get credit in MO for taxes paid to KS. Usually I owe $0 to MO, although the last couple of years the tax rates have changed and I've had to pay a small amount of MO state taxes.

Usually book direct, or get a deal through Priceline.
