Seems like maybe 15 years ago, there was a comet easily visible, even the tail. And it was in the sky at the same time as an eclipse.
I happened to be driving through Arizona at the time, so there was plenty of open space to see it with little light pollution. IIRC, the comet appeared very close to the moon as well. Very ****ing cool.

Know what I'm taking about? Have a pic of that?

Right now it WSW of the Pleiades which is visible from even downtown. Scan till you see a oddly fuzzy star. In the dark country you can see a little of the tail with a good set. Or even use a gun scope
