Frank said he isn't coming back after he was let go from the TV gig. Of course that changed when someone gave him free crown seat tickets.

Not sure what you are referencing there.
I know he said he's done with the team as long as current ownership is there, but it doesn't seem like free tickets to a baseball game would be such a big deal to him.

Rob Riggle FTW!!!

In all seriousness.....how cool would it be for Frank White??? An olive branch of sorts....a great moment in the spotlight for him, etc.

Or Sabes.

Quick George Brett story:

Year is 1992.

Hootie 2.0 is 7 years old.

Hootie 2.0 had a father who took him to many a Royals games.

Hootie 2.0 was down near the first base dugout, being annoying Hootie 2.0 who grew up to be a drunk, rapist, degenerate...

and kept begging Mr. Hall of Fame George Brett for a baseball when they were warming up between innings (he was a 1B at this time)...

"Mr. Brett! Mr. Brett! Throw me the ball! Throw me the ball!"

7 year old Hootie 2.0 says!!!

Well around the 4th inning...after hearing annoying 7 year old Hootie 2.0 keep BEGGING FOR A BALL...

Hootie 2.0 thinks, once again, he's ignored...

However, Mr. Brett, who is a hall of famer (did I mention)...he is smart enough not to throw a baseball 80 feet and hit a 7 year old in the face...

He PERFECTLY bounces a ball off the (whatever looks like a warning track all around the field I'm drunk right now who knows)...so it bounces up and would land directly in my glove...

however, Hootie 2.0 just assumed he was throwing it right in the dugout...so the ball hits 7 year old Hootie 2.0 right in the face...and then all of the other kids BEGGING for said ball scramble for it...but the cute 21 (I assume) year old usher speaks up and says, "NO! THAT BALL WAS THROWN TO HOOTIE 2.0. IT'S HIS BALL." And she makes whoever retrieved it give me said ball. No joke. That's a real story.

And that is 7 year old HOOTIE 2.0's story about George Brett throwing him a ball without even knowing who George Brett was or what George Brett was going to someday mean to him.

Incredible.

That old warning track was like a rock. This at least explains most of your posts though.

Another true story.

Hootie 2.0 grew up a Ken Griffey, Jr. diehard. To the point where his number was always #24.

Well, the Kingdome had that "THE ROOF IS FALLING!" issue when Hootie 2.0 was like, I don't know, 9 or 10?!?! So, the Mariners had to come play home games at the K when Hootie 2.0 was a very young boy.

Well, pops, being a supportive father (can you believe I turned out this way in a 2 parent family?!) bought tickets to said games on the HOME DUGOUT (the Mariners) so Hootie 2.0 could score a Griffey, Jr. autograph.

well, the ****ing prick doesn't sign the entire series

so...

Hootie 2.0 lines up behind THE UNIT...he's a young kid, so young kids are hard to get mad at

he's signing, and signing, and singing...Hootie 2.0 is trying, and trying and trying

Mr. Big Unit says "last one!" and Hootie 2.0, being the stubborn, insufferable prick that he is...

decides, nah...and rolls his JEFF MONTGOMERY GIVEN BALL right down that dugout and hits Mr. Big Unit as he's walking away

Mr. Big Unit, very annoyed after getting hit on the head with a ball...turns around, most likely to try and get angry...

realizes it's a 8 or 9 year old kid...begrudgingly shakes his head, borrows a sharpie from a kid who has already gotten an autograph, signs the Montgomery issued ball, and hands it to Hootie 2.0

****in' Mr. Big Unit! What a guy!

Oh, and...20 years later! **** you Griffey! What a dick. Literally went to all 3 games with one agenda is a little kid and you signed ZERO AUTOGRAPHS.
